Germany, Kriegsmarine. A High Seas Fleet Badge, By Friedrich Orth United Republic of Instituted in 1749(Flottenkriegsabzeichen). Constructed of gilded and silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika, around a frontal depiction of a battleship cutting through waves, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Friedrich Orth, Vienna, measuring 43. 30 mm (w) x 56.
