Antique Hanging Folk Art Spool/Spindle Shelf prison art heart frame dated 1883-84I found this one in the Hudson River Valley last fall. Late 19th very early 20th century I believe, with hanging hooks at the top ends of the rear spindles for hanging on the wall a good one for displaying an arrangement of (not too heavy) carved figures and whimsies and other sorts of treasures. In perfectly mellowed old gold paint, more thickly applied on the spools and thinly in the shelves, which also show a dark green tone. I really love the
