Brown Painted Antique Splint Buttocks Basket aluminum tray I loved it alreadyThis American antique buttocks basket, woven of oak splint I believe, and dating to the late 19th century or so, has a great form and features what I believe is its original brown paint. I'd like to think this basket has had a long, productive life, used for gathering many many dozens of eggs and perhaps much else as well the result being a number of breaks in the the split wrapping the wide band of its rim, and what appears to be some burn damage to
