Striking Large Inuit Carved Soapstone Sculpture of Kneeling Girl with Braid wooden ramp walker or perhaps to display aLOVE. I am not sure if this wonderful kneeling girl with long braid down her back is packing a block of snow or enraged in some other task, but this is about my favorite Inuit carving I've ever seen. My guess is that it comes from the Baker Lake region of the Kivalliq Region, in Nunavut on mainland Canada, based on stylistic similarities to other pieces I've seen, and I think it has a good amount of age.
