Delicately Carved and Painted Small Greenland Inuit Wooden Figure antique African basket known for hand-thrown stoneware piecesThe great care invested in painting the clothing on this small carved figure moves me to no end, especially the fantastically beautiful patterning representing a traditional Greenland Inuit beaded collar. (I am including a photo of another doll with gorgeous hand sewn costume for reference, which the elaborate coloring on this one echoes very closely.) I cant find another example of a painted wooden figure quite like this one out thereI am sure made
