Model Ship, Proudly Displayed, Antique Mounted Albumen Photo, Gloucester MA antique wooden spoon Fish in 1874This photograph shows damage to the upper right corner, pieced back together at some point and taped on the reverse (a bit like the mending of a ship after a wreck.) What a great thing, though, this beautifully constructed model ship proudly displayed on a pedestal table outdoors, photographed I'd imagine just after completion, perhaps with the door in view leading to the maker's studio and clearly this was done by a very skilled model ship builder.
