Beautifully Aged Antique Relief Carved, Painted Figure doll paint including a 1850-60s photo featuringThis is one of my favorite carved figure I've found, and I like it more and more the more I look at it. I don't know much at all about it, which I purchased from a dealer with many wonderful and eclectic things, who thought it European, but didn't know much more than that. I would guess the figure represents a saint of some sort, seated and with hands clasped before him, with remnants of paint still covering parts of his body, and layers of color
