The nose is classic Sanford & Benedict

One of the many problems with these heavy bottles is that you keep picking them up to pour more wine only to be disappointed to find that they are actually empty

I was mildly surprised to find a bit of reduction in the bottled version though not enough to completely hide the otherwise ripe

The caressing and enveloping medium bodied flavors also possess outstanding volume and focused power on the superbly long finish. This broad shouldered effort is presently tautly muscular and quite firm though Roncerets typically ages beautifully into classic examples of Volnay and I predict this will do the same if allowed sufficient time.
