Something about the angle of the burgundy curtain to his right and beams overhead and lines of the stool gives the composition a bit of a Diebenkorn feeling to me, and this young man's face I think has a bit of a Modigliani aspect, too. Found in Massachusetts, this is unsigned and I dont know who painted it, but I might
