He is mostly depicted sitting and holding in his hands a vessel containing the nectar of immortality. Amitayus is also one of the three deities of long life (along with White Tara and Namgyalma). His mantra is OM AMI DEWA HRI. According to Orgyen Tobgyal Rinpoche, long life practices bring together two methods, common and
