The supple but tautly muscular medium weight plus flavors possess a suave mouth feel thanks to the abundant dry extract that both coats the palate and buffers the very firm tannic spine on the highly persistent and imposingly powerful finish

Weinbach, Pinot Gris Altenbourg SGN Size:6x375ml An outstanding wine(for 375 ml.; 9. 9% alcohol, 161 g l r. s. and 10 grams of acidity) Deep yellow gold. Carnal, exotic aromas of orange blossom, game, smoke and earth. Superripe, thick and powerful, but given great penetration by almost painful acidity. Wonderfully dense and concentrated wine with a tactile, salty finish that refuses to let up. Like the '07 Riesling SGN, this is just hinting at the complexity to come. Stephen Tanzer
