Small Early 19th Century Folk Art Watercolor, Bleeding Hearts ramp walker donkey and there is a tearThis is one of three small watercolors I purchased together, all dating to the first half of the 19th century and I believe all by the same maker. This is a young sprig of bleeding hearts I believe, not quite fully heart shaped. Done on lined paper, with very thick and saturated color, and a watermark at upper left. Paper size 4" x 2 5 8". There is a tiny tear at the center of the top edge, a couple of faint crease marks, and a few small stains.
