I have not attempted to polish the copper on the back

its great patina

but I would rather hate to see it trapped behind glass and would myself be inclined to hang it directly on the wall via pins in the corners

Czechoslovakian 1930s Ramp Walker Penguin antique tile Cork and BelfastI've really fallen in love with these old wooden Czechoslovakian "ramp walker" figures, which were made to resemble a variety of animals and human figures. This one I am pretty sure is meant to be a penguin, and I believe dates from the 1930s. I especially love the long plug nose and the painted flipper arms at his sides, and place him on a slight incline with a little push and he's a great little walker! 4 1 2" tall x 1 7 8" wide and deep.
