In their original box, the taper candlesticks feature silver toned metal with shiny atomic stars. The set is in good vintage condition. In nice display condition, I do not know if the candles work. The candles measure approximately 15" tall x 7 8" wide. Great addition to the midcentury home decor; with original (torn) box.
