Jean Noel Gagnard, Chassagne Montrachet Morgeot Rouge Vintage:2019 the 2017 Flor de Pingus(from Clos Chareau and Grand Clos). A more deeply pitched and slightly riper nose features notes of red cherry, spice, freshly ground pepper and more earth influence. There is better size, weight and richness if not the same refinement to the solidly powerful, more austere and slightly rustic finale. Note that this is firm enough to repay up to a decade of keeping.
