Stylized Modernist Slip Glazed Clay Head of a Woman with Craquelure expeditioner 9" d x 2 1/2"A quite finely sculpted, very modernist clay head of a woman, with features that certainly remind one of the influence of non Western masks, for example, on Western artists of early 20th century. The matte slip covering most of the surface shows all over cracking, which adds to her moodiness, but is stable. Better in person, solid clay and quite heavy for size, really rather exquisite feeling. 4 1 2" t x 4 1 2" w x 4 1 2" d. Aging, some spotting and
