The vineyards of the Valle d'Aosta are ancient, with terraces and pergolas first perfected by the Romans, set on Alpine slopes where Italy, France, and Switzerland meet. The Grosjean family has farmed here for generations and works organically (certified since 2015). This is Donnas, the Valle d'Aosta's mountain expression of Nebbiolo, known locally as Picotendro, grown on south facing terraces around 350 meters.
