Hancock London Circa 1850 Recently Added Armfeld professed a great loveA rare mid 19th century antique oak & iron silver chest from Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey), by silversmiths C. F. Hancock Son & Co, London, circa 1850. A good antique country house silver chest, made from solid oak with iron strapping with a locking hasp, the corners & edges of the chest all fitted with iron brackets and substantial twin iron handles at each side. The interior of the chest with a brass plaque "C. F. Hancock, Son & Co Silversmiths &
