In 2011 he took on this single plot in Nuits Saint Georges and made just over a thousand bottles in a friend's cellar; the domaine grew from there. Trained at Domaine de la Romanee Conti and Prieure Roch, he farms with rare exacting standards from his base in the Hautes Cotes. Les Herbues is village Nuits with the firm, structured character the appellation is known for. Production is tiny, so this is a
