The estate sits in the village of Chablis itself, and Forets (sometimes spelled "Forest") is one of its anchor 1er Crus, a south facing left bank parcel of pure Kimmeridgian limestone just southwest of town. The Vieilles Vignes bottling draws from vines averaging 35 to 40 years old, with the oldest planted in 1958. The
