The cupboard is in two sections the top section having hemispherical carvings representing a cut pineapple fruit, which was first brought back from the Americas in the late 1500's, during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I (1558 1603). Below is a frieze of corresponding hemispherical carvings flanked by a pair of circular
